By accessing or using Hier, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the platform.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use Hier.

If you are under 18, you confirm that you have permission from a parent or legal guardian.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts where we reasonably believe a user does not meet these requirements.

3. Who Can Use Hier

Hier is available to:

•Job seekers (“Candidates”)
•Businesses, recruiters, and employers (“Businesses”)

You may only use the platform in accordance with your role.

4. Account Registration and Security

You agree to:

•Provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information.
•Keep your login credentials secure.
•Not share your account with others.

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

5. User Responsibilities

You agree to use Hier in good faith and in compliance with all applicable laws.

You must not:

•Create false, misleading, or fraudulent profiles.
•Impersonate another person or organisation.
•Engage in harassment, abuse, or unlawful behaviour.
•Attempt to disrupt or misuse the platform.

6. Messaging and Conduct

Hier provides messaging functionality between users.

We may:

•Monitor, review, or moderate communications where necessary.
•Restrict or disable messaging features.
•Investigate misuse or abuse.
•Suspend or terminate accounts engaging in harmful behaviour.

7. Job Applications and Hiring

Hier acts as a platform to facilitate connections between Candidates and Businesses.

We do not:

•Guarantee job placement or employment outcomes.
•Endorse any Candidate or Business.
•Take responsibility for hiring decisions.

Businesses are solely responsible for their recruitment processes and decisions.

8. AI Features Disclaimer

Hier may provide AI-assisted features, including (but not limited to) candidate recommendations, rankings, or summaries.

These features:

•Are provided for informational purposes only.
•May not be accurate, complete, or reliable.
•Must not be relied upon as the sole basis for decision-making.

All hiring decisions remain the responsibility of Businesses.

9. Business Responsibilities

Businesses agree to:

•Use Candidate data responsibly and lawfully.
•Comply with all applicable employment, equality, and data protection laws.
•Not misuse, copy, or redistribute Candidate information outside the platform without proper legal basis.

10. Paid Plans and Billing

Hier may offer paid subscription plans (e.g. Starter, Growth, Pro, Hier, Hier Pro).

By subscribing:

•You agree to pay all applicable fees.
•Subscriptions are billed on a recurring monthly basis unless stated otherwise.
•You may cancel at any time, with cancellation taking effect at the end of the current billing period.

Unless required by law, payments are non-refundable.

We reserve the right to modify pricing with reasonable notice.

11. Platform Availability

We aim to provide a reliable service but do not guarantee that:

•The platform will be uninterrupted or error-free.
•Any defects will be corrected immediately.

Access may be suspended for maintenance, updates, or other operational reasons.

12. Intellectual Property

All rights, title, and interest in the Hier platform, including its software, branding, and content, are owned by HIER APPLICATIONS LIMITED.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer any part of the platform without our prior written consent.

13. User Content

You retain ownership of content you submit (e.g. profiles, CVs, messages).

By using Hier, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to:

•Host.
•Store.
•Display.
•Process.

Your content for the purpose of operating and improving the platform.

14. Account Suspension and Termination

We reserve the right to:

•Suspend or terminate accounts.
•Remove content.
•Restrict access.

Where we reasonably believe:
•These Terms have been violated.
•Misuse, abuse, or unlawful activity has occurred.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

•Hier is provided “as is” and “as available”.
•We make no warranties regarding accuracy, reliability, or availability.
•We are not responsible for interactions between users.
•We are not liable for hiring outcomes, business losses, or indirect damages.

Your use of the platform is at your own risk.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time.

We will notify users where appropriate. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

18. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
